Dziugas Katinas

b. 1965, Lithuania

Dziugas Katinas is an interdisciplinary artist, curator and filmmaker. From 1977–1984, he studied in M. K. Čiurlionis Secondary Art School in Vilnius. From 1984–1989 he studied in Lithuanian State Art Institute (now called the Vilnius Academy of Arts), and since 1990 he has been performing internationally as a performance artist. Since 1994, he has taught in the in National Art School in Lithuania.

Performance Yellow

This fragrance opens us to the question, has the show started? It's winter, the theatre is colder than the street and the room is filled with people and all their winter smells: wet faux leather, down, too much shampoo, and beer breath. The atmosphere is a trickster. Am I late, am I early?
