Canada

Madeleine Lychek is a queer, bi-racial artist who responds to issues surrounding body politics, and further challenges preconceived notions regarding, sexuality, racial ambiguity and censorship. Her work has been exhibited in Canada and Germany, and is held in private collections in Canada, the United States, Barbados, Ecuador, Germany and the United Kingdom. She graduated with an Honours BA, Studio Art Major, from the University of Guelph (2019). The same year, she was selected to participate in a competitive summer exchange to Hochschule für Künste Bremen (University of the Arts Bremen), studying Conceptual Photography and ceramics. She was selected as a HADC Community Fellow for the Tamil Archive Project’s 2020 cohort.
