On Change and the Future(s) of Live Performance in Toronto
The world in which we work is changing. Let's share how we're dealing with that.
FADO Performance Art Centre is proud to be one of the Accessibility Partners for this year's Unconference by Small Wooden Shoe.
In live performance, we know the importance of unexpected conditions, surprising moments and shared inspiration. The Unconference creates these conditions. It's a space to get together - as people with lives and skills and passions. It's an event to get past job titles and get real work done.
The 2013 Unconference is SOLD OUT. But you can still take part.
At the forth Unconference, we make performance in Toronto better. This year we're thrilled to be at the Art Gallery of Ontario, in the new(ish) Weston Family Learning Centre. A group of partners - including artist run companies in dance, theatre and performance art, along with funders interested what change looks like on the ground and how we can help each other - have come together to make this event happen.
The Unconference will be an amazing mix of people - people you know and people you'll meet. The format is clear - expertly handled by Misha Glouberman - but the topics will be generated by you and your fellow participants, meaning you'll spend most of the day in conversation about topics you care about.
